An icon on the Sunshine Coast, the Mooloolaba Surf Club has undergone many renovations throughout its history as one of Australia’s longest serving surf life saving clubs.

CORE Architecture were asked to expand on the entertainment and dining facilities of the main deck area, improving light, circulation and visibility towards the ocean views.

An informal design aesthetic was sought through the use of colour and composition of simple building materials, which is in keeping with the beachfront location and the laidback atmosphere of the club and its clientele.

This renovation successfully met the client’s needs while maintaining the character and ambience of this popular Club so many locals have come to love.
